Continuation of DHS COVID-19 Guidance for Academic Year 2022-2023

On April 18, 2022, the US Department of Homeland Security announced that it has extended its COVID-related guidance through the 2022-2023 academic year. This guidance, originally published in March 2020, permitted flexibility for F-1 students to maintain their immigration status during the pandemic (within the requirements of their school).

Since Emory resumed in-person courses during the Academic Year 2021/22, the continuation of the DHS guidance into 2022/23 does not change what is required of F-1 and J-1 students at Emory in regard to enrollment requirements.

Please review the ISSS COVID-19 FAQ page for details on online coursework permitted for the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 semesters. Contact your ISSS Advisor if you have any questions.
